Q1. You've got a major presentation coming up tomorrow. What is it that's making you take a cigarette break?
Whenever I run through the presentation in my head, I light up.
Presentations make me nervous.
I really can't think anymore if I don't have one.
Try to be more conscious of what you do while things are running through your mind as it seems that you tend to smoke unwittingly.
Instead of using smoking as a way to mask your fears, find your power to overcome the stronghold that these fears have over you. Get the support of your colleagues and friends to support you in overcoming these fears permanently without the cigarette.
Even the strongest cravings last less than 3 minutes. The urge will go away whether you smoke or not, and smoking now will just make it even harder for you to quit later. What about finding something else to do until the craving goes away?
